Children's Museums and Science Centers in New York

Which experience is right for your child?

Museums for kids are not just about looking at objects. Many offer hands-on experiments, imaginative role play, demonstrations and child-directed exploration. The right museum depends on how your child learns and whether you want open-ended play or a structured program.

Before you visit

Check exhibition access, museum admission, age recommendations, stroller and sensory accommodations, and any special program tickets. Give children time to explore the same favorite station more than once.
