About NY for Families
NY for Families is an independent guide to family-friendly experiences across New York State. We help parents discover major attractions, indoor activities, museums, parks, educational places and family entertainment at shopping centers.
One state, many local adventures
Our first regional guides cover New York City, Syracuse and Central New York, Buffalo and Western New York, Rochester and the Finger Lakes, Albany and the Capital Region, Rockland County and Long Island.
We focus on established destinations that families can plan around. Dated events and birthday packages will be added as their details are verified from current official sources.
How we choose information
Each listing starts with an official operator, venue or government source. We separate year-round destinations from seasonal activities and avoid guessing admission prices or suitability by age.
